CONCORD, N.H. —A Comcast representative said that the cause of the outage has been identified and services will soon return to normal Saturday afternoon, but hundreds of customers remained without services Saturday night.

Earlier Saturday, Comcast tweeted that some customers in parts of the Northeast are experiencing issues with their TV, internet and phone services.

Many Comcast customers in New Hampshire reported being without all or some combination of services for much of the day Saturday.

Comcast’s online outage map shows a large area encompassing much of Merrimack, Hillsborough, Rockingham and Strafford counties affected by the outage. The area stretches further south to the Greater Boston area.

A spokesperson for the company said they expected to have the issues resolved by 6 p.m.

Comcast tweeted, “Almost all customers are back up and running. We appreciate your patience while we worked to resolve,” just after 6 p.m. Saturday.

You can monitor the outage map here. On Saturday night, it still showed large outages in New Hampshire.

WMUR has reached out to the cable company and will report more information as it becomes available.
