Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer
Michael Sherman is CEO and CTO of AES Corporation which he founded in 1974. He oversees the Company’s corporate direction and all engineering projects. Mr. Sherman is a security industry veteran and expert on communications hardware and software development including wireless applications for commercial, government, and military applications. Under his leadership for the past four decades, AES Corporation has grown from a contract engineering firm to a leader in the design and development of wireless mesh radio technology today. Mr. Sherman holds a BS degree from Northeastern University and an MBA degree from Babson College.
Vice President of Engineering & Support
Lee Dubé is responsible for leading new product innovations, and overseeing our Engineering development and Technical Support service teams. With a strong hands-on customer centric mindset, he drives all stages of the product development life cycle with a fanatical emphasis on the customer. Lee focuses on continuous process improvement initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders on projects that will enhance the Company’s global service and support efforts. He guides the vision, design requirements, and implementation of long-term strategies that support the business and deliver a consistent user experience. He has an accomplished background in transformative organizational change building cross functional environments using a contemporary approach. His expertise includes diverse experience in high tech software, fault tolerant hardware, clinical data collection, and enterprise SaaS solutions. Lee also has extensive knowledge of large end-to-end communication systems, technology trends, best practices, industry code and compliance standards. He is an active member of the NFPA 72 Supervising Station Fire Alarm and Signaling Systems Technical Committee.
Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Jim Burditt is the VP of Sales. He has responsibility for leading the US & Canada, Central America, and South America salesforce including inside sales reps and outside regional sales managers. Jim oversees all facets of sales activities including promotions and programs, corporate marketing, management of revenue and operating expenses. Jim joins the Company with over 20 years of sales management experience and over 15 years of experience in the physical security industry. His expertise resides in building strong dealer networks as well as leading rapid-growth, highly-professional sales teams. Mr. Burditt is a graduate of Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and an Associate of Science degree in Management.
Corey J. Carter
Vice President of Operations
Corey Carter is the newest member of our Leadership Team. He oversees all Manufacturing staff operations and directs production processes. He also has responsibility for international logistics and the purchasing department, acting as the primary liaison interfacing with customers and suppliers. Corey brings a wealth of manufacturing experience with over twenty years of his career spent in plant and facilities management. He has a strong background in quality assurance, purchasing, and finance. His areas of expertise include general assembly, line operations, continuous process improvement, safety requirements, and business planning. Mr. Carter holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Salem State University and a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University. Corey served as a firefighter for the City of Peabody, in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and is an avid sports fan.
Director of Product Management
Laura Wall is the newest member of our Leadership Team. She is an experienced and highly collaborative product management leader who specializes in conducting extensive market research. Her expertise in Voice of the Customer (VOC) data collection and strong analytical skill set will be vital in helping the organization to prioritize customer focus and define product requirements. In her new role at AES, Laura will work cross-functionally with all departments to align sales objectives, marketing strategy, and customer support with the engineering product roadmap. This involves managing the complete product lifecycle from concept, to design and development, product launch, and end of life products/components. She has a diverse background in chain retail, global manufacturing, distribution, and start-up environments. Ms. Wall holds a Master of Business Administration from Simmons School of Management, a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Bentley University, and Insights for Innovation certification credential from IDEO U. She is an active member of several industry groups including Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), New Product Development and Agile Innovation (NPD), Product Management Professionals, and Boston Product Management Association.
Director of Marketing
Peg Slack is a key contributor and integral member of the senior leadership team, responsible for the development of marketing, media relations, and communications strategy aligned with sales objectives. Ms. Slack oversees global marketing activities including advertising, brand management, messaging, new product launches, event planning, web development, creative and design projects. She leads LEAN continuance improvement programs and implements corporate initiatives in support of the Company’s mission. Prior to joining AES, Ms. Slack led sales and marketing organizations in the consumer electronics field and high tech industries at large public companies and small startup businesses. Earlier in her career, she worked in a civil service role for the United States Air Force (USAF) branch of the U.S. military. Ms. Slack is a member of several industry associations and groups. She attended the BSBA program at Northeastern University.
